Testimonials
Mavis was an invaluable panellist who was honest and authentic enough to bring the topics of discussion to the fore. Mavis also brought data to lead insights as well as anecdotal contributions which made the discussion engaging yet practical to address the ethnicity seniority gap. Mavis is not just knowledgeable but passionate about Inclusion and Diversity and was highlighted as a favourite on the panel. It was a pleasure working with Mavis who was easy to collaborate with. It was evident that she prepared thoroughly and was willing to provide support after the event to turn this very important conversation into tangible actions
The sessions were very useful in exploring and recognising unconscious bias and empowered me to think outside of the box, but also to be able to reflect on some of my experiences to date. I have already been able to identify areas to strengthen my ways of working. Sharing and learning from lived experiences was extremely valuable and opened up conversations about similar experiences.
I feel in a stronger position to be able to navigate my career as a result of the coaching sessions.
I really enjoyed the ability to speak openly without prejudice. These sessions opened my eyes to the different forms of unconscious bias which could be experienced which I would normally pin down to it being my fault, but with this new insight, I can start recognizing bias and learn how to react to it. I liked how you taught us to speak up and have a voice to address areas of concern immediately, and to be very clear in asks
Overall I found that sessions to be very useful. I feel like I learnt a lot about myself and things that I need to do to help my career development. Even after the first session I began to implement the things that I learnt and feedback to my line manager that I seem to be doing more tactical work and I would like to be more involved in strategic work. The sessions have also help me think more strategically.
I found the sessions extremely useful and rather empowering. It opened my eyes and made me take a long hard look at my ways of working, professional choices and career path and identify key areas that I need to address going forward. I found the discussions open, fair, constructive and non-judgmental even when on sensitive subjects. Overall, I feel stronger and better equipped to navigate my workplace and forge a career path as an Indian woman in the energy sector or any sector going forward.
